Support Grids/Underdrains

Flat Support grids are available in single one piece construction Typical Designs are fabricated in sections to allow installation through a mainway. Sections are fitted with flange support frames. During installation the sections will be laid flat on an existing vessel support structure. Sections will be bolted together creating a single complete support grid. With each application loading requirements change. Support grids are available with many different wire configurations to achieve the most demanding loads. Additional supports are often utilized to accommodate extreme load conditions.

Concord Screens Are More Efficient

Concord Profile Wire Screens allow for significantly more open area than comparable wire mesh designs used to retain the same size media. To directly support the media, screens are available with openings as small as 0.001".

Concord Screens Are All Welded For Strength

A proprietary process of welding each intersection of rod and wire in our screens results in greater resistance to high operating pressures and temperatures, as well as, greater resistance to the stresses of installation and cleaning.

Concord Screens Create A Stable Interface

Wire mesh screens usually flex under differential pressure which causes treatment media abrasion and creates fines which can plug the media. In contrast, Concord Screens are rigid, providing plugging and abrasion resistance. The stable interface between Concord Screens and media, further minimizes abrasion of particles and creates more efficient flow collection.

Concord Screens Minimize Clogging

The fabrication of Concord screens involves helical wrapping of vertical rods with V-shaped profile wire. This forms a continuous slot which limits the contact of particles to two points in the screen slot and prevents plugging. In this way the optimum efficiency is assured by maintaining the maximum effective flow area.
